European troops deployed in Ukraine to monitor a peace agreement between Kiev and Moscow could respond to a Russian attack, French President Emmanuel Macron said.

When he spoke after conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelensky, Mr Macron said European armies could respond to a “conflict situation” if one appeared.

“If there was again a generalized aggression against Ukrainian soil, these armies would be under attack, and that is our usual framework for commitment,” said Mr Macron.

“Our soldiers, when engaged and inmates, are there to respond and respond to the decisions of the commander and, if they are in a conflict situation, to respond to it.”

Mr. Macron added that antitank missiles, surface-to-air missiles and drones were part of the new help for military equipment to be provided to Kiev.

Europeans have been told to store food, water and essential for three days in the event of a military attack or environmental disaster.

“We say to the member states: 72 hours of self-sufficiency is what we recommend,” said Hadja Lahbib, the European Commissioner for Contingency and Crisis Management.

When asked what citizens should store, she referred to a video on her social media where she presents a emergency bag.

Vladimir Putin’s latest demand is that Russia’s agricultural sector is allowed to use the rapid banking system as a reward for a ceasefire in the Black Sea so that it can move its grain and other agricultural exports.
