David Bowies infamous private daughter, Lexi Jones, has released his debut album Xandri.
The 24-year-old artist is the only daughter of Bowie and Supermodel Iman who got married from 1992 until his death in 2016.
The artist went to Instagram to tease his upcoming album, shared exclusive excerpts from songs and showed clips from her childhood with Bowie for the past few weeks.
Xandri were released with no other advertising and without a message last Wednesday (April 4). It contains clues such as “through all the time”, “go ahead” and “standing alone”.
With 12 songs, Xandri Mixes genres like pop, electronic and indie rock, all with Jones’ vocals. Her ability to slip smoothly between genres suggests that she has the same genre-transcending musical habits as her father.
The young artist also writes and produces all his own numbers. The title of the album Xandricomes from the Greek name that means “Defender of the People.”

In addition to music, she also often goes to social media to show her works of art and poetry. Her talents as a visual artist shine through on the album’s cover art, which she herself designed. The artwork shows two faces on the same head that split away from each other.
Her debut release comes more than eight years after her father’s death. Jones has often hailed him online, placed videos of the couple from his childhood on his Instagram and also get matching tattoos with his mother Iman in his memory in 2018.
Lexi Jones is one of Bowies two children. His son, Duncan Zowie Jones, is his firstborn child with his first wife, Mary ‘Angie’ Angela Barnt. He is a British filmmaker and screenwriter who is best known for his films Moon and Source code.
Bowie died in January 2016 after a private match of cancer for months. His 26. Studio album, Blackstarhad been released two days before his death on January 8, his birthday.
