Amazon launches free Australia Machine Learning Summer School

Earlier this year, Amazon announced the third edition of her India Machine Learning (ML) Summer School as part of an effort to help the cities prepare for industrial jobs in machine learning. Now that is based on success with this program, Amazon is expanding its free ML Summer School to Australia.

The program will give students a month -long structured learning experience that covers Breat Fundamental ML concepts, while also connecting them with practical applications in the industry.

The online summer school, which is available to 100 students, will consist of eight modules delivered on four weekends in February 2024. Will touch monitored learning modules, deep neural networks, dimensality reduction, unattended learning, probabilistic graphics learning, causal and reinforcement learning.

The free courses are open to studs at recognized institutions in Australia that are pursuing bachelor or postgraduate degrees in engineering, computer science, data technology, artificial intelligence, software technique, computer vision and machine learning.

Qualified students must sign up for the program. All registries will undergo a two -part selection test and the 100 students will be invited to participate in the program

The test, leading from 10 to 14 January 2024, covers algebra, calculation, machine learning, statistics and probability. The program also offers a platform through which you can connect and network with Amazon researchers. Each race is followed by a three-hour question and and session with an Amazon scientist.

“Amazon ML Summer School aims to give the participating students the best in class training on a wide range of topics that are at the heart of modern machine learning, from basic to advanced,” said Rajeev Rastogi, vice president, International Machine Learning. “The tutorial sessions that cover the right mix of theoretical and practical knowledge will be provided by our researchers who are experts in their field. This program will be a platform to help promote ml expertise and strive to develop scoring skills within you.”

“I found that Amazon ML Summer School was an incredibly valuable opportunity to learn and network,” said a student who was a member of the 2023 class. “What I liked the most was the chance to get an in -depth knowledge of key partic learning topics directly from experts. Their insight into supervised learning, deep neural networks, probabilistic graphic models, dimensality reduction and unpublished learning were enlightened.

Amazon in Australia

Amazon has a research team located in Adelaide and Sydney. Teams in Adelaide develop advanced, large machine learning methods to involve terabbytes of data. The researchers use machine learning and especially computer vision across a wide range of areas such as Amazon Retail, Seller Services and Online Video.

Researchers in Sydney are focused on groundbreaking machine learning and data problems related to Amazon’s companies. Much of the work that helps Amazon Web Services customers to speed up the use of machine learning to solve business and operational challenges and promote innovation in their organizations.
