In 2021, Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization announced the creation of SCOT/Information of Scholarships to help expand pipeline for operational research, management science and analytical talent from underrepresenting background.
Today, Amazon Scot announces the latest informs the cohort. This year’s class includes 15 and pursuing degrees or possible caregivers in industrial and system technology, system science, statistics and operational research, supply chain analysis, transportation chain management, civil engineer and computer science.
“I am deeply grateful to the Amazon Scot Science team for the support to wait and attend the annual meeting,” said Vivian Nwadiaru, a PhD. -Candidate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. “As a recipient of the program, I get access to mentors and resources within the Amazon Science team, which for me is a rare and lovely networking opportunity.”
To ensure inclusive, the recipients included those who are either already enabled in Operations Studies (OR) and Management Science (MS) studies as well as those who have had little to no education in traditional or/MS Buttra but are considering master’s studies or careers in these fields.
“Being able to wait informs is a huge option,” Neded Ryan Rodriguez, an undergrad at the Georgia Institute of Technology. “I am very grateful to have the chance to wait with high-compact sessions about research, I am interested in, network with peers and explore exciting potential collaborations with them in similar fields. This scholarship has accelerated my path to a PhD.”
Members of this year’s class – including undergrad Juniors and Seniors as well as Master’s Stabs – receive free conference registration and scholarships to cover hotel stays and transport units for those who wait personally.
“I’ve gone through the chance of waiting informs through Amazon Scot fellowships,” said Ayesha Farooq, a graduate student at Kansas State University. “It’s a great opportunity to learn, network and contribute.”
This year’s cohort also has the opportunity to connect with Amazon Scot scientists to explore mentoring and networking opportunities; To meet with members of the information of the minority from Forum, graduate student to ambassador and informs the staff; And waiting informs the community’s meetings and university -supported receptions as well as plenary, selected conversations/posters and tutorials.
