You are totally correct in your suggestion, so I will step up and give some answers in the blog. Thank you for nudging me to get started. The application of language arts and writing into the curriculum can start by introducing a daily practice that includes the basic parts of speech, grammar, punctuation, spelling, creative writing, and more. Any product that does this is good. I do have the Daily Dazzle that does exactly that in a fun and challenging way, but any program that gives students daily practice will step up their comprehensive by its repetitiveness, and repetition is the key.

Hi,
Language Arts and Application of Writing are two different but, significantly important areas of learning and personal grooming of a child. I would suggest you to include your answers here in your blog.

Hi,
This has been proved that practice can bring perfection in one's work. By emphasizing on content can give positive results. I agree with your idea to make writing interesting instead of focusing more on mechanics

Hi,
I am impressed with your idea; encouraging students to write by making amendments to their previous work. It will not only help in evaluating subject material of their interest, but also, will help in learning how to correct mistakes.

Hi Allison, I do have ideas about how to take your topics and resources and write research papers, take literature or reading notes, and to keep a reading log and letter that will improve reading comprehension, plus much more Each week I will post a tip for parents to help them make the writing and reading experience interesting and more student directed. I do like the resources you have posted and believe that it would be helpful for any parent or student to be able to go to a site that provides sources for them, so I will post a link to your site as I write tips that apply. Thanks for the comment. Judith

Hi Judith, I see that you are just getting started here. I'm interested in hearing your ideas. My blog is fairly new also; I am developing though. My focus is suggesting ideas for homeschool lesson plans around topics. So far subjects I've written about include: The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Japan, and The Galaxy. If you have any writing ideas related to any topics on my blog and want to write an article and send me a link I'll take a look and link to your post if I like what you have to say.
Regards, Alison
